M.Sc. in Audiology and MSc Audiology (with Clinical Placement)

One-year MSc Audiology course 
Develop your knowledge and skills with this challenging and rewarding training course in audiology. 
This course caters for a variety of applicants: 
- Those new to audiology are provided with a professional foundation. 
- Qualified audiologists, speech-and-language therapists and other health professionals are offered rich and challenging professional development. 

The year is divided into two semesters. With the last four months dedicated to your research project, at the end of which you will submit a thesis. 
You will attend taster clinics, develop research skills and investigate healthcare innovations in the field. There is also the option to exit the course at an earlier stage with a PG Cert or PG Dip. 
The application deadline for the one-year MSc Audiology programme is 31st July 2018. Information on the application process can be found under the Entry Requirements tab. 
Please note that graduates from the one-year MSc Audiology are unable to register to work in the UK without relevant clinical experience. The level of experience required to apply for clinical registration is determined by the registration bodies. 
Two-year MSc Audiology (with clinical placement) course 
Year one is identical to the non-placement programme 

Year two adds a clinical placement. 
Duration of the unpaid placement - minimum of 40 weeks - maximum of 52 weeks. 
We welcome applications for the Two-year MSc Audiology (with clinical placement) course from UK, EU and International applicants. 
Applicants are all asked to apply for the one-year MSc Audiology course and are then allocated to their placements prior to commencing the first year of study. Please indicate your wish to be considered for a placement in your personal statement. 
Placements are allocated on a first come first served basis and are in approved audiology services in the UK, Ireland and Jersey. 
We offer audiology placement scholarships for UK/EU residents who start the programme in 2018-19, reducing the tuition fee for the placement year to £4500. The number of scholarships given is limited only by our placement capacity. Further information is available under the Fees and Funding tab. 
UK applicants who complete the two-year MSc Audiology (with clinical placement) are eligible to register with RCCP and to work in the NHS as an audiologist. 
EU and international applicants should refer to the registration body’s guidance for international applicants. 
Students commencing the MSc course in 2018/19 receive FREE registration on our Hearing Aid Aptitude Distance Learning Course. Successful completion of this course enables you to apply to register with the Health and Care Professionals Councils as a Hearing Aid Dispenser and work in private practice to assess, fit and provide aftercare for hearing aids. EU and international applicants should refer to the HCPC [http://www.hcpc-uk.co.uk/] guidance for international applicants. 
For UK and EU applicants the Placement fee in Year 2 is £4500. For International applicants the Placement fee in Year 2 is the full tuition fee (see ‘Fees and Funding’ tab for further information).
